Features of Welding and Super Vu-Tron Welding Cable
In home repair and wiring, there are several types of wires that you can try out. One of which is the Super Vu-Tron Welding Cable. This type of cable is manufactured with several ultra-flexible copper strands that is about 34 AWG as opposed to the usual 30 AWG. Of course, the wires depend on the flexibility of the application that is applied. This type of welding cable is rated for around 600 volts; it also has orange rubber EPDM insulation which is quite similar to various Vu-Tron cables. The insulation used is UL, MSHA and CSA approved so the cable is safe to use and it does not cause any interference when partnered with other wires. When used for industrial purposes, the wiring can withstand strong currents because of its outer jacket. Since the cables are applicable for industrial use, several companies can use it for their bulk machines.
The features of the Super Vu-Tron Welding Cable are that it has over 34 AWG flexible stranding with over a capacity of 600 volts. This would be a great help especially to large scale industries that require large machinery. The insulation used with the cables can withstand cold weather of up to -50°C and a very high temperature of +90°C. This means that the cables are safe from the elements since they can be exposed in any kind of weather. Another good thing about them is that they can withstand overheating. This means that if some machines would yield a very hot temperature, the wirings would not be affected. The cable can withstand that amount of temperature since it has already been tested with the vertical flame test per UL854. Aside from temperature ratings, Super Vu-Tron Welding Cable is capable for secondary voltage welding leads and as power supply applications that would not exceed over 600 Volts AC. Due to the level of voltage that can be applied, it may be used in several types of vehicles including trucks and automobiles where flexibility is required. For snow mobiles, the wire can also be applied since the insulator can withstand cold weather. In fact, the wires should be applied right before winter including a bottle of antifreeze. By applying such products, any vehicle can be used during the winter season. Each of the wires is applied with extra flexible 34 AWG copper strands and EPDM rubber insulation. To quickly spot the wires during maintenance, the strands are placed in an orange colored insulator. The insulator is colored orange so that users would be able to spot it and they would be safe from touching the wiring. Lastly, the insulator is designed to be resistant to several factors including abrasion, solvents, oils, ozone and the weather. Precipitation and accidental occurrences would not be a problem because the insulator is designed to block out oil and water. Hence, the cables can be used in both hot and cold climates.
